The SEA People – A Global Tribe
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.
– Margaret Mead –

Join a growing tribe of committed people who ACT to Restore, Protect and Conserve the most biodiverse reefs on Earth.
Become a part of a loyal community of individuals from around the world who are committed to protecting the world’s last coral reef stronghold. These individuals contribute monthly, and in doing so stand strong beside our team in the field, who strive to protect regional reefs in the face of rapid and unsustainable development and the impact of climate change.
If it breaks your heart to think of the rapid decline of the most biodiverse reefs on Earth, THIS is the place to make a difference.
Your contribution will have a direct impact in the field, and enable local people to better Restore, Protect and Conserve Raja Ampat’s coral reefs.
The time to ACT is now. We cannot afford not to.
The SEA People is so much more than an organisation conducting projects in the field with the support of international donors; it is a group of passionate individuals who are committed to protecting the seas in Raja Ampat, and around the world. As true “Orang Laut”, these individuals possess an undeniable connection to the sea; a commitment, devotion, understanding, awareness and respect for that vast body of water that provides us with life. Orang Laut understand that in order to survive and continue to enjoy the benefits that the sea graciously offers us, we need to enter into a mutually beneficial relationship, within which we prevent further deterioration and exploitation of marine ecology, and proactively provide protection.
As Orang Laut, we are entirely devoted and connected to the wilderness of the sea, to its protection and preservation, and to the possibility that such connection could lead to a better existence and a more secure future for ourselves, our families and our communities.
We are The SEA People. We are Orang Laut.
Where it all began…
The SEA People & Orang Laut Papua is the culmination of the passion, dedication and commitment of Arnaud Brival and Lynn Lawrance, who know that the biggest threat to nature is thinking that someone else will do what needs to be done.
